Erano de Guzman Manalo has died at the age of 84 of cardiopulmonary arrest. Erano Manalo was the leader of Iglesia Ni Cristo one of the largest religous and political groups in the Philippines. Los Angeles fashion designer Anand Jon Alexander has received a 59 years to life prison sentence for multiple counts of rape. Anand Jon Alexander was convicted of 14 criminal counts of luring aspiring fashion models to Los Angeles and then raping them. Some of the more severe charges in which Alexander was convicted of include forcible rape. The victims ranged from 14 to 21 years of age
Police have been searching the property owned by sex offender Phillip Garrido who was recently charged in the abduction and sexual assault of Jaycee Dugard. The search of the property next door has revealed a bone but officials are not sure if it is from a human or an animal. Since his arrest Phillip Garrido jumped to the top of the suspect list of up to eighteen missing prostitutes in the area. Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy kept Jaycee Lee Dugard hostage for eighteen years and in the process the sex offender impregnated Jaycee at least twice.
Terrell Owens has rejoined his Buffalo Bills teammates after missing the last few weeks due to a sprained toe. Terrell is not expected to play in this Thursday's game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. It is believed that the next game Owens plays is the season opener versus the New England Patriots on Monday September 14 2009.
Apple is expected to release a number of updated iPods next week hoping to regain their share in the portable music devices. Apple iPods use to be at the top of the digital music players but in a funny twist of success the high sales and the ability to play music the Apple iPhone has taken away some of their own sales. Apple is expected to release changes straight across the board with the exception of the iPod shuffle which will remain as it is.

Recent price cuts by the people at Microsoft have put the Xbox 360 Arcade version down to an outstanding $199.99 brand new. The Xbox 360 Arcade System comes with one Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with rumble. Xbox 360 uses a refined button layout for its controllers. Back and Start buttons sit at the center of the controller and between them is a new Xbox Guide button, which instantly takes the user to the Xbox 360 user "Dashboard" interface. From there, they can check for friends online, access personal digital content like photos songs, and more. The black and white buttons of the first Xbox controllers have been replaced with new shoulder buttons placed above the left and right triggers. The Xbox 360 can accommodate up to four wireless controllers and has three USB 2.0 slots to use for wired controllers or for streaming your digital media from digital cameras, MP3 players, and any Windows XP-based PC. Microsoft has also created a video-conferencing camera, sold separately, that will work with the system.
